Hot to put youtube app into background

Hi

I've downloaded latest youtube app but if i set a tune to play and want to browse youtube shuts down.

Aby idea how to put music playing in background like with tunein radio app??

YouTube lacks this ability. Use Jasmine or Youplayer for this function.

You can also trick Safari into doing this. Go to the mobile versions of the YoutTube site and start a video playing in Safari, then close. Double tap the home button to get the multitask bar. Swipe to the right to see the play controls, and tap the play button. {The Safari icon will show where the Music icon normally does.}

Though I suspect the apps will do a much better job, and more conveniently.

Hi guys did you hear that these methods are no longer working with iOS 6.1?

I'm hoping that Apple is going to fix this and that they did not do this intentionally.
