How can I access the USA App Store?

I was most disappointed to be shown by a friend just how inferior the South African App Store is in terms of variety of apps available. At the time of registering my iPad and iPhone I was unaware of this short coming, nor that I could have subscribed to the USA store.

Can anyone tell me how I could access the USA store - or any one other than SA?

Tap on the App Store icon and then tap on Featured. Then tap on your ID (after scrolling down) then sign out and sign in again (Tap on your ID and give your password). Then choose your country. Hope that helps John.

Hi John and welcome to the Forum!

You can open another iTunes account for any region but you will almost certainly need a form of payment and itunes cards are very good for this. These are readily available on the net and as you only need the number on it, this can be emailed to you after purchase. Check out a few sites as prices can vary greatly. You will need another email address and as gmail does not denote a region, I would recommend this type of email account. There are many app stores and the US app store I would say offers the greatest range of apps. You will also need an address there, do you have a friends address you can use? An Apple store address will work also.

Once you have your iTunes card number, new email address and (US) address go to Settings - iTunes and App Store, tap your ID and sign out. Then sign back in by way of Creating a New Apple ID and just follow the prompts. It's very simple. Let us know how you go.

Some times we are in time lapse with America... 18 hours ahead can make you dizzy not to mention being upside down. I mean when at the conference Phil stated ios7 will be out in the Fall.... The means Spring here.... Any way back to the subject.....
