Corded headphones controls

Hello!
I have a wired headphones but they are suppose made for android devices, so I'm wondering is there any way to make the controls and mic fully funtional on my iPad. The headphones were quiet expensive and almost new so I have no money to buy another pair tu use exclusively with the iPad.

If they have a standard headphone jack, then they shoudl work fine on the iPad.

Thank you for the answer... it didnt fully work, just play and stop button works, volume up and down doesnt.
Any clue of this?

The volume of the iPad can be controlled either from buttons on the side or from a pane to the right of the Control Centre. Does this help?

I can't think of any reason it shouldn't work, especially if the stop and play buttons work.. With rare exceptions, wired headphones have been standard for a while.
