New to iPad 2

Hi I'm new to this so I hope I'm doing it right... I have just got a ipad2 (a present from my sister) I bought a USB
Connector so I could put my pictures onto iPad. Nothing is happening when I plug it in. Can anybody out there help me?

Are you trying to get photos from a PC/Mac or a camera? The USB connector you bought, what type is it? Is it a normal USB cable with the connection to the iPad or is it a Camera Connection Kit.

So it's a camera connection kit of some sort, is it an Apple one? I have an apple one that I use with the cable that came with my iPad. I'll attach a couple of photos of mine, can you tell me if yours is the same? Better yet can you take a photo and upload it here.

Yes mine looks like that. But plugs into iPad with 3 USB ports. Sorry I really am a learner. Thanks for ur help

If you use the Apple Camera Connection Kit (CCK) as in those pictures, the Photos app on your iPad should automatically open once you insert the CCK into the 30-pin dock. Of course, you've got to have an SD card in the CCK. In addition, the card should have a folder on it titled DCIM and the pictures you want to send to the iPad have to be in that folder.

Is your CCK from Apple? Sometimes the aftermarket ones are a bit dodgy and don't work great (but, sometimes they do, so there's that). Just check your SD card and make sure there is a DCIM folder. That should help.

Hey.....Seems to work on HTC Hero, a bit leggy but could not find the frame rate. Also i had trouble compiling the example myself, everything seems to compile OK, but dies with a SEGV when deployed.. Also the trunk seems to be for 1.6 and above, but the Quake 3 demo worlds on my Hero (1.5), is this demos released?
