2 Questions regarding iPad.

Just a thought tonight. I have an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar on Friday regarding a battery issue. I have been told that for £106 I will get a "refurbished" iPad. Which I am quite happy about but I have 2 questions.

1. Will it be an iPad 2? or the new iPad. I heard that this has happened in the past with some 3GS users and they ended up getting an iPhone 4.

2. What actually is a refurbished iPad? Will it be scratched for example? Been used etc? I don't know what a "refurbished" iPad actually is can anyone explain.

You are unlikely to get a upgraded ipad. The last time it happened was when iphone 4 stocks ran really low, so people got a iphone 4s. I donot believe there is such a shortage for ipads.
