2nd hand ipad age?

I've just bought a 2nd hand ipad 2 and was told it is 2 month old, to be honest it does look new but i was wondering if there is anyway to find out the age of it? It looks like the previous owner has restored it.

The previous owner should always restore it before selling. Not only does Apple prescribe it, but it's the only way of insuring no personal data is left on the device.

You can get a rough idea of when the iPad was purchased and or registered by going to Apple's site and looking up the limited one year warrantee using your serial number. It's still valid after resale, btw, so you should be interested in that info anyway.
