I just became a new member here. I am having trouble with my iPad. My 3G stopped working. I have checked my remaining data and there is still 125mb left. I am unable to get it going again. I tried resetting network settings and stilno connection. Fortunately, my wifi is working but tomorrow I am going were there is no wifi. I am currently in Madrid Spain where there should be good 3G connection via AT&T but nothing.

Suggestions please

Regarding your question, you might try restarting and/or resetting your iPad. Doing so can often correct these kinds of problems.
  • Restart the iPad: Press and hold down the Home button on the front of the iPad for few seconds until the red slider appears, slide this across to shut the iPad down. Restart the iPad by pressing the power button on the top until the Apple logo appears.
  • Reset the iPad: You can do this by pressing the Home button and the Sleep/wake button on the top the iPad's case and holding them down together for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo. The iPad should then reset itself. The boot up process takes a few minutes and then the iPad should be responsive again.
BTW, I moved your post to the iPad Help area where you’re likely to get a better response to your question.

Welcome again and enjoy!

Has the connection ever worked in Spain?

Have you enabled data roaming in the Cellular Data setting in the iPad's Settings menu?
Many service providers require advance authorisation of roaming, so also wonder if you had arranged this with AT&T. Remember, too, that your existing data plan with AT&T does not cover data while roaming, so this will not come from the 125 MB remaining in your plan. That is only for the USA. Roaming charges are very high, too, so you'd be advised to purchase a local pre-pay SIM card locally.

Good points Tim. The OP said that his 3G "stopped working" so it seemed like he was using it and it just quit, but that may not be the case. Clarification is in order. Excellent advice about buying a local SIM card as well!
