What's new

A little slow on the draw...

I got my iPad2 a month ago, and have just now decided its time to really learn this thing....I have really enjoyed this thing, use it constantly, but I've been a little lazy when it comes to really figuring out all the ways I can use it. Today I landed here after my 3G stopped working while I was away from my house...I don't really know what's up. I checked my 3G account and I still have 767mb left on the plan I got from verizon. So after going thru everything I could find, I reset my iPad, and it said 3G at top left hand, but now it just says Verizon, and I don't know if the 3G is working or not--I was hoping I could figure it out without actually leaving my house. I think sometimes trying to figure things out on your own is a good way to really learn how to use new technology, but Im stumped on this one, and from now on I will come here BEFORE I reset my system...what a pain to go back and change everything to the way I had it!:o

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Regarding your issue, do you have wifi at home? If you do you can turn it off in the wifi settings and then 3G should take over, see if you can open safari. When you do a reset of your iPad everything would normally stay the same on your iPad and there is no rearranging to do, so I'm thinking you may have done it through Settings - General - reset, which is actually a restore.
