I have owned apple devices since they came out. I have over 30 years in mainframe computer systems. I am an expert in over 7 operating systems. From programming errors to communication problems I have been responsible for many aspects of running a large computer.
I am the go to guy in my family for all things from apple, Microsoft , Sony, even HDTV and just about everything else. I am seldom stumped but I have always found places like this forum invaluable.

Of any product I have iTunes the most difficult program to work with. I think it's the absolute worst piece of software ever written and used by so many. Even searching for help when you rub into an iTunes problem is ridiculous. Yo never know if the answer you have is the right one even though some so called expert has said it is.

Besides that , thank god IOS is written so well and ,almost foolproof .

I must admit that it makes zero sense for iTunes to me such a weak program coming from a 100-billion dollar mega company like apple. Clearly, they can design and write good code, so the only logic I can fathom to explain iTunes is that management just doesn't get it. Could they be so interested in profit that even the expense of making this program a joy to use be too much to ask? Part of their legacy will be that iTunes was really bad. This after selling millions upon millions of devices that need iTunes. And for a company that works hard to foster simplicity and eliminate complexity, they have placed unneeded complexity upon their user base. Amazing.

Oh well, life is like that! :)

Today's iTunes moment.

Booted it up on my Mac. It recognized my iPad, gave me the nag message to update to 6.1.3. I cancelled that and it promptly crashed. Did a force quit. This time up came the nag screen for my iPhone. Cancelled that. This time, no sign of my iPad. Wanna talk about weird?
