Adding Captions

Is there a way to add captions to pictures on my IPad 2? I have tapped below the picture, but all it
says is either copy or paste.

There are several apps in the app store that allow this. I believe Skitch is one of them.

Skitch works fine for me. An important aspect of this app and other photo editing apps is that they do not change your original photo. Skitch actually saves the edited picture separately from the original. The best part about Skitch is it's price, it's a free app.

It's not possible with the built in Camera Roll.
To add information to a picture, you could use Photogene. When you choose Metadata there, you can add your name, and the title of the photo, or whatever you'd like. What you add is not visible in Camera Roll, but it appears in the app itself afterwards.
I don't know if it's free.
