albums being split?

ios5 has a habbit of splitting up large albums (30 or more tracks) into separate albums, each with the same album title and cover art, on my ipad 2 after syncing over from my computer. whats this all about?

Does it always do this? Or on just some albums. It's just that you say it 'has a habit', which sort of implies it might not always do this....
