AppleInsider is reporting on a new note to investors from Barclays Capital analyst Ben A. Reitzes, in which he says that he believes that not only will Apple release an iPad 3 in early 2012, it will also release a faster version of the current iPad 2, which he calls an iPad 2S, similar to the recently released iPhone 4S. According to Reitzes, this iPad 2S could have a faster processor and Siri built in as standard. On top of all this iPad goodness, Reitzes says that he also thinks that Apple will continue to support the current 16GB iPad 2, offering it at a reduced price, kind of like an iPad version of the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4. As for the all-new iPad 3, Reitzes sees it arriving in March, and he thinks that it will have a high-res Retina display as well as Siri integrated as standard. Reitze concludes by proffering his forecast for the 2012 fiscal year, which has Apple selling 47.7 million iPads, which would represent a 47 percent increase on the previous year.
