I need to name my videos in my Camera Roll as I import them there ready for editing. Most video editing apps use the Camera Rolls contents and not the Movies section of the iPad. The problem I have is that when I have loads of video clips in the Camera Roll I can't tell them apart until I actually name them. Currently I'm guessing which is which based on its length but this is near impossible. Any suggestions?

The only way I've found so far is to edit each clip individually and add a number or name to the start of each clip but that is time consuming and the whole point of editing on the iPad is that it's supposed to be quicker and easier.

Unfortunately you cannot name the videos in the camera roll. Professionals actually log their videos, which entails keeping a log of the file name, and watching through each clip and making notes of usable material, in and out points, etc. I believe there are even apps that you can use to keep these records.

I did read a great article all about making movies with the iPad which I'm sure you could fin with a quick google search. It covered every aspect of movie making, and apps that could assist.
