I have just purchased my new 1pad 2 and its my first go at self set up (I was told it was easy and it probably is)

I have two problems and I have searched the site which is full of valuable help and tips which I will be able to use once I am up and running but cannot find anything to get me out of the mess I have managed to get into.

Firstly although I have no sim card yet I am using the wifi via the connecter to my lap top, as I have forgotten the password and the office is not open until tomorrow at 10.am

problem is that when I downloaded itunes it has appeared on my ipad in Spanish, is there a way I can delete this and install a u.k.version please?

I am stuck on what appears to be a registration screen and it will not let me get past it or back to the main screen. My account is with msn but it does not seem to have this option in Spanish.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Denise

Hi Denise - welcome to the forum! :)

Your location is listed as being in Spain, so I'm assuming that is the issue w/ you ending up w/ iTunes in Spanish - please clarify for other responses?

The second issue is that you want to have an 'English' iTunes program on your computer - correct?

So please explain more clearly what your specific needs & desires may be - others may then need to offer you advice - good luck!

Hi leelai & Giradman

Many, many thanks for your welcome and advice it is very much appreciated. Following a long and very trying day I admitted defeat went into the local comp shop and with two flicks of a (very expert) finger and there I am all fixed.
It turns out that because I am in Spain and had registered as such it naturally downloaded in Spanish. That together with me not having the password for my wifi caused the problem.
I am just going through your recommended new user guide and typing into the search facility what I cannot understand and to date all the answers and solutions are there right in front of me.

I am going tomorrow for a long hospital stay so may not be back online for a while, as I am not sure they have wifi but will be back.
My task for the rest of the evening is searching to see if I can download films and save them for viewing offline.

Many thanks again

Denise

Hi Denise - glad that your problem was worked out so easily - always the best way!

Good luck on your 'long hospital stay' - hope nothing too serious (I'm a retired physician) - wish you the best! :)

Well, you should be able to 'rent' movies from iTunes and download some books, and along w/ some music you should have plenty to keep you busy - just don't forget to take your iPad charger w/ you - best wishes!

Hi Denise, I'm so glad that you have your issues sorted, it can be very frustrating. I'm really hoping your hospital does have wifi for you and all the best for your recovery!
