Is there an organizer available for apps? I hate to have to page through the AppStore lists, and often don't remember the name of an app that I've purchased and then deleted---but want to bring out of storage, so to speak.

So---what I am looking for is a way of cataloging all my apps (without having to go through them one by one and type up a list!.

Have you been using the AppStore purchased list. It lists every app you ever purchased or downloaded for free. The ones currently on your device will say open next to them and the ones not on your device will have the cloud symbol next to them.
This is what part of my purchased list looks like.

Sure, but the problem is that they aren't catalogued as to type.

If you sync your iPad with iTunes on the computer and use the Transfer Purchases option to keep them up to date, you can see them in list view and sort by all the tags, including category.

This is the only method I know of that provides a sortable list.

If you don't want to sync the iPad, you can still log into iTunes (on the computer) with your Apple ID, go to the Purchased link in the right column, and download all your apps directly to the computer. Depending on how many apps you have it may take a while to click and download them all.

Unfortunately you can not select and copy the list. I don't know why. You can in most of the other libraries.

Thanks for the suggestion. I think that should work for me.
