App store issue.... Can an ipad be rebooted or restarted?

I'm very new to my ipad 4 so please be patient.

I recently download an app but since then, when I go to the app store, I can't get the app I already downloaded to disappear from the front of the screen. Everything else seems to be working fine and I can click on different thing on the image and they work but it won't go away so I can look at other apps.

WTH can I do about it???

Please help!

Hi, kmberlly! I see you managed to start your own thread without problems. :-)

Yes, an iPad can be restarted and/or rebooted (reset).
Restart: turn it off, wait for a few minutes, then turn it on again.
Reset: press and hold Home and Power button until the Apple logo appears. Release both and let your device power up on it's own.

You could also try force closing apps:
Perform a four finger swipe upwards on the screen to reveal the multitask bar. In iOS 7 you'll find the app icons below the thumbnails (pictures) of the apps. Swipe the pictures towards the top of the screen:

If your software is iOS 6, you'll see the icons, and the screen will look different from my screenshot. Tap and hold the app icons until they start to wiggle. Then delete those apps (bottom of the screen, multitask bar).

Good to see it worked. :-)
Glad to help.

I suppose since you worked for Apple, many things have changed. :-)
