App Store on iPad acting weird

I'm having a really weird problem. I have no problems BUYING new apps from the App Store on the iPad, however, when I am trying to UPDATE apps, I get a message that the iPad is unable to connect to iTunes Store. Anybody else had this problem before?
 
I sometimes have to put my password in two or three times for it to take it.... does not happen every time, but I would say..... 1 out of 3 or so....... It always works, but for some reason makes me put it in again.....
 
I had that happen once, try downloading one of the updated apps on your PC and sync it to the ipad via USB cable.

after doing that all my other apps updated like they should.
