Have upgraded several of my iPad Apps and the update reminders stay on the App Store screen. How do I remove these please once the update has been completed?

if you are talking about the completed updates on the update screen, you can't delete them. They will self-delete after 2 weeks.

Apple introduced an Automatic Updates feature on your iPad for updating apps......these updates do hang around for a while just so you know which apps have been updated recently.
