Apple confirms it's sold one million new Apple TVs -- Engadget

Apple said last week that it expected its new Apple TV to cross the one million mark in sales before Christmas, and it's now quietly confirmed that it's managed to do just that. For those keeping score, that means it's sold a million in three months, which is certainly impressive for something Apple still describes as a "hobby,".

Not bad for a product that many said would fail. Definitely something every iOS/Mac user should check out for streaming videos, movies, pictures, or music. I would get Airplay for the wireless streaming alone!

Visit Apple's website, or see it for yourself at an Apple store.

Airplay > Apple - iPod touch - AirPlay

It is a pretty nifty device...ust make sure you have an "N" router is it is pretty slow.

Seems to be pretty fast with just 10 Mbps over a G speed router (good for up to 57 Mbps) that I've seen. Video plays within a couple seconds. How much faster does it need to be?

I set one up for my sister a month ago. Pretty cool device. She controls it with either her iPad or iPhone. Music, videos all seamlessly through her Linksys G router. I am hoping to get one for my birthday next month. I have N of course! :)
