Apple ID Password

I haven't had to use my password for a long time and I forgot it. How can I recover it or create a new one?
I tried to download an app that's when I tried a password but was incorrect.
Can some ipad guru help me with this?

Sorry for your troubles. However, the only way I know to get a forgotten password is to work with Apple to get a new one assigned to your AppleID.
