Many customers who have pre-ordered an Apple Watch have been given shipment dates of late May or June. Of course, this has upset many of them, and this was most likely caused by problems in the supply chain, since Apple and its production partners are dealing with a product that is totally different from the iPhones or iPads they've been making so far.

However, we're now hearing some good news from Apple, as the company has started informing customers that their delayed Apple Watch preorders will be shipping earlier than expected. Apple issued the following statement:

"We’re happy to be updating many customers today with the news that their Apple Watch will arrive sooner than expected. Our team is working to fill orders as quickly as possible based on the available supply and the order in which they were received. We know many customers are still facing long lead times and we appreciate their patience.”

This could mean that Apple has managed to ramp up production and that it's now ready for the sales process in its physical retail locations, as well.
