When Apple releases a new commercial, it does so in style (remember the Siri one starring John Malkovich?). Starting this week, the Cupertino tech giant has put out two new commercials that aim to showcase some less known capabilities of the iPad and iPad mini.
In the commercials – named “Alive†and “Together†Apple features a few apps from the lengthy App Store catalogue that covers over 300,000 distinct pieces of applications, just for the tablet sector. The concept of “Alive†is based on three keywords: “loudâ€, “deep†and “alive†and takes the users for a ride through applications like GarageBand, TED and iMovie, thus covering areas of human interest as diverse as knowledge or entertainment.
The second commercial focuses on the adjectives “wildâ€, “bright†and “togetherâ€. Apple included the following description for the videos, which were posted on the YouTube official channel: “With over 300,000 apps, iPad is up for anything you are.†Apple’s iPad has been criticized in the past, when it was argued that the tablet was only aimed at consumers but not creators. With these two video ads, Cupertino is hoping to dispel the myth.
Apple’s iPad has proved over and over again to be one of the most popular tech projects known to history. At the first quarterly conference call of 2013, the tech giant announced it sold 22.9 million iPads in the holiday quarter of 2012. Apple has some strong competition in the field, but nevertheless has managed to remain on top.
