Apps for locking the iPad 2

Hi, I love especially while I am driving to let my 3 years old kid watching movies on the iPad. The problem is that after a while he either touch the home button or the screen and this interrupts the display. On the mac there are utilities locking the keyoard and maintaining live the running app.

Any advice on how to lock the iPad for screen and keys input avoiding that the litle deil makes umpredictable damages?

It is not possible to lock the touch screen and buttons, without locking/powering the device off.

It would be easier to teach your 3-year old how to resume the playback.
