Arrowhead in upper right corner

I see a very small arrowhead in the very upper right corner of my iPad mini (8.4). I see it in the setting screen, on the app store screen and many other screens.

Have searched my reference books with no luck. Would appreciate someone telling me what its for.

Do you mean the arrowhead in this screenshot? If so, that means an app on your iPad is currently using location services.
