The only app I know of that will let you upload files to most sites is iCab Mobile browser. You have to copy the file to iCab's download folder first, using Open in from another app or perhaps a share link from DropBox. Once there it becomes available when you choose the Chose File button on a site.

However, it does not work with all sites. Websites use a lot of different methods to offer uploads, and iCab is not compatible with all of them. The only way to tell is to try.

Sorry for the delayed response, thanks a lot, it actually worked. Wished the apple team could make that more flexible cos that is an essential part that shouldn't be neglected. Thanks

No problem. I'm glad it worked.

The no-central-file system is one of the more controversial moves on Apple's part. It greatly enhances the security of the device, but can be a major inconvenience when it runs up against older established practices on the web. But Apple has never been a company that hangs on to the old way of doing things if they think there is a better way, even if it's inconvenient for a while.

That's not to say Apple is right on this one. While they have a pretty good history of being right they've been wrong before too.

What's the new way?

Social sites (Linkdin, FaceBook), and cloud sharing (DropBox, Box). It's far more efficient to put your profile or files up in one place and point to them than it is to email, upload, or hand carry a file or profile to every person or company that might be interested.

But companies tend to be conservative on the whole, so in the mean time we have workarounds like iCab Mobile. Like when I had to buy an external 3.5' floppy drive for my first iMac. The one that did little but gather dust after the first year. ;)
