Audio Recording help

I have an iPad 3 and wanted to use it to record my professors lectures. I have found that the iPad by its self does not pick up the sound all that great and there is background noise. I was wondering if there were any small blue tooth devices or something of the sort that I could put on a table in the front of the class room to pick up his voice better? Or something that I could plug into the iPad to increase its recording abilities. Thanks

There are mics that can be plugged into the iPad to improve sound quality. Check apples accessories for iPads on their website to get an idea.
