Hi

I joined this forum to help my husband. He did the ios 6 update for his iPad 2 and not the autofill function will not work in Safari. Do you know of any solutions that will fix this.

Thanks so much for your time.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

I've heard that some settings did change with the update but check in Settings - Safari and make sure that Auto Fill is turned on here.

HI

Thanks for your reply. I did search the forum before I posted the question. The settings for autofill in Safari are turned on. We tried turning it on and off and on again, but nothing. We tried restarting the iPad 2, but nothing still. If you have any other suggestions, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks again.

Try a reset of your iPad and see if this makes a difference. Also clearing your history and cookies may also help, let us know how you go,

Hold the power off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in and you will see the power off slide appear and disappear, wait until you see the Apple logo appear before releasing the buttons. It will take a little longer for your iPad to start.

Hi

Thanks for that advice, but it did not work. Any other suggestions?

In mail, contacts, calendar....is your name here and when pressed connects to your contacts?

I've moved your thread to our Help Section where you will receive a better response.

Thanks for posting here. Does anyone in the forum know how to help. It seems like there a little issues that it won't let you do now since the update. He can't use autofill, can't save images, can't post photos to facebook, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Have you filled in your personal info in Contacts? Go to Settings > Safari > Autofill > make sure it is 'on' where you see 'Use Contact Information' make sure your name appears below this box, if not tap the box and tap your name from your contact list. That should be it

Try enabling autocorrect. It worked for me. I had turned it off because it makes silly corrections, but that somehow stops autofill from working.
