Overhaul Games has announced that it’s bringing an enhanced version of Dungeons & Dragons game Baldur’s Gate to the iPad. Baldur’s Gate was first released in 1998, and has sold millions of copies and won many awards. This new iPad version of the game runs on an upgraded and improved version of the Infinity Engine, and includes the complete Baldur’s Gate adventure, as well as the Tales of the Sword Coast expansion pack, and previously unseen content including a new adventure and a new party member. MacRumors reports that IGN has had a chance to play an early build of the iPad game, and says that the new version of the Balder’s Gate II Infinity Engine that the game is running on enables the player to experience the feel of the original adventure, only brought slap bang up to date with enhanced graphics and other general improvements to the engine. Looking very impressive indeed in the screenshots!
