With the increased usage of iPads in the kitchen, Belkin has released a few accessories to accommodate the needs of such a risky environment like a Fridge Mount, Kitchen Cabinet Mount and a Chef Stand and Stylus.
The later is designed for using as you cook, by accessing different recopies with the help of the stylus.
The stand is made of chrome and has a black rubber stand that keeps it in place and also a special place for the stylus. The pen looks and feels like a kitchen tool, designed with a chrome tip and black rubber, like most utensils. This is very useful as it keeps you from getting your dirty hands on the iPad2 screen and it’s easily washable with your regular soap and water.
The stand is also washable and you don’t have to worry about spilling anything while it’s sitting on your counter, but we must press that you wash it by hand and not stuff it in the dishwasher.
While the two items are quite convenient we were bummed that only the tip of the stylus works on the iPad, and thus it won’t work if you use it at an angle. This can be quite annoying if the counter is too low. So, if you’re one of those who like cooking with the recepy in front of you, reading it off of cook books or magazines stored on your tablet, the Belkin Chef Stand and Stylus makes a good purchase at $39,99.
