Black Screen

Started out infrequently but now very frequent: When opening a new link or app screen goes black then opens up to home page with all my icons. Have to re-open app to get back to where I was. Annoying at first but irritating as H now. Have tried re-boot but doesn't help. HELP. Alex

It's a good idea to occasionally shut the iPad off and restart it. This fixes a lot of minor problems.

Restart: Hold down the power button until the power off slider appears. Slide it off. When the iPad finishes shutting down, hold down the power button again until the Apple logo appears.
