Earlier in the week we reported that Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft was finally released worldwide on the App Store, for the iPad. Hearthstone is a virtual card game, which plays similar to Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering, except of course on your iPad, and soon the iPhone.
Blizzard is looking to use Hearthstone to break off from the world of sitting at home and playing online. The company is now organizing 'Fireside Gatherings', or meet ups for Hearthstone players are the USA.
The gatherings are currently limited to a few locations set by Blizzard and shown in the company's post. Blizzard also added that if at least three people meet up on or after April 26th, they will each receive a special in-game card back for playing against each other locally.

This does seem like a cool way to get out of the house and meet up with people who also play Hearthstone. The game is based on strategy, so meeting with other players and seeing how they play can get Hearthstone players some ideas. This card back can be obtained by playing three matches against another player on the same network using the following criteria:
At least three people (including yourself) must be logged into Hearthstone on the same subnet.
Each match must be played against a player that is playing on the same subnet as you.
These matches can be played against your friends or using the Player Near Me feature, as long as the above two criteria are met.
