Hi all,
As the title says, how do you change that?I accidentally named two folders the same and need to change one or the other.
I have no problem changing individual page names, just the folder name it seems!
Thanks!! Ken

Tap the Bookmarks icon at the top, then select Edit:

Tap the folder’s name somewhere behind it’s name

Type the new name

  • Thanks j.a. Got it.
  • I think the question I should have asked was how do you take all the bookmarks from one folder and put them in another?
  • I can do them one at at time. Done that. Really tedious.
  • Is there a way of moving a big group, like 35, at once?
  • Thanks, Ken

You’d have to move bookmarks one by one. It’s possible to move one folder into another.

Select the bookmark icon, tap Edit and choose the folder:

Then tap the location and move the folder into another folder - select the folder where you intend to place that folder.

Save your changes by tapping “Done” at the bottom afterwards.

Here’s a trick that helps a bit. If you open two views of Safari side by side, you can open different bookmark folders in each pane and drag bookmarks between them. Be careful to drop the bookmark on an empty part of the list, or you may accidentally replace the destination Safari pane with the bookmarked site, or open the bookmark in slide-over.

May take a bit of practice. Take notice of how the dragged bookmark changes as you move it over the list, the way it drops onto the list shows you when to let go.
