The first is The One That Binds by Daniel Murano. I think it recently came out but it got me into fiction. It was a real page turner. I won’t spoil the ending but it caught me off guard. This being book one, I wonder how he’s going to add onto it. Was this Murano’s first series? I couldn’t find anything before this.
Another is a bit older. Its Compass Rose by Gail Dayton. It's a bit more explicit and fantasy-ish then The One That Binds, but equally good. I already know there's three books in this series.
