Box sets on Ipad

I downloaded the full HD version of The complete box set of “The Bridge" without realising the size of it. Consequently I have used up all my local storage space. Is there a way to send it to iCloud or reduce the size some other way. I don't want to have to delete. Also I paid about £20 and am not sure if this is a purchase or a rental. It indicated that it was a purchase. A

Check the price for what you bought, it will be more if you bought it outright. I've not used rentals from iTunes, but you don't get to keep them forever anyhow, so you need to find out. If you own them, then you can redownload when needed.
