Bringing iPad to China?

Hi all, I will be bringing a 64gb Wifi+3g iPad for personal use to China in June through Shanghai (Pudong) Airport. I have heard rumors about the iPad being taxed by customs so I am wondering if I will encounter anything of the sort. There will be three travelers in all and the most expensive items that we will bring will be the iPad, a canon DSLR and possibly a laptop.
