Broken IPad 2

Hello there...I'm very new to this forum but was delighted to come across it. I really need some help as Im very upset over my IPad. I had a new baby boy 3 days ago and came home to a wonderful present of an iPad from my husband. With all the callers etc, my 3 year old nephew grabbed my iPad today ran into my tilled kitchen and dropped my iPad! The left top corner is broken and cracked all down left side. So I am devastated crying all day as my husband went to such an effort to buy it. He got it from
USA but we live in Ireland. Can anyone please direct me in the right direction to get it fixed/replaced? Many thanks for ur help

Is there an Apple store near you? If not, check and see if your husband got any kind of insurance or warranty with it.

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

First of all congratulations on the birth of your son, I can imagine the scene you describe. You need to make an appointment with the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple Store, it doesn't matter that it was purchased in the US. Explain to them what has happened, be honest, be distraught which you are. Apple were replacing iPads as a one time courtesy, it seems to have dropped off considerably but we still hear of people being very lucky.
There are threads here on this, so do a search and have a read. I wish you the best of luck!

Thank you very much for your replies. I will do some more research on this but I don't think we have genius bars in Ireland but I will double check warranty etc! Thanks again
