The Brookstone case design is sweet. But the keyboard is defective and will cause the iPad to crash randomly. I lost a critical email I was typing due to this. They will deny they know this is a problem but it is because they don't want to admit the need for a recall. I am not the only one. 30 seconds and a Google search will tell you that.

Save the time and money and SKIP the Brookstone product.

I would have to agree. The Brookstone case is really nice leather and well made. The keyboard feels great, also well made. But the keyboard shuts down too quickly when you are thinking in between sentences, and every now and then when trying to wake the keyboard up it will send some strange message to the iPad that turns the iPad off. This isn't a "crash" in that there is no reboot. You merely need to click the on button and do the finger swipe. However, whatever you were working on is lost. I'm getting rid of the Brookstone case for that reason.

I got one for Christmas and am still on the fence about weather I`m going to keep it. The placement of the shift key on the right drives me nuts and I usually have to go through the entire settings process every time I want to use it. But the keyboard is cool. And I kile the nice red leather case. I am a bit spoiled by the IPads auto fills with spelling and capitol and such.

I am having issues with my keyboard where the function keys don't work. I press the blue "fn" key and then the associated key at the top and it does nothing. I also can not get it to page up or down. Has anyone had this issue?

The manual states: "Note: The Bluetooth® Keyboard Case will automatically go into standby mode after 15 minutes of non-use in order to preserve battery life. Just press any key to reactivate the keyboard." My Brookstone Wireless Keyboard is acting more like 15-30 seconds before going into standby mode and activating the virtual keyboard. This is becoming more of a pain than it is worth. Any one find a solution for increasing this time out?
