Calendar question

I have a Google based work calendar which I have added to the Calendar app. No problem with that. I also use the iPad calendar as my personal calendar. I don't have 3G, just the wifi. When I am not connected, it would be nice to see which days I have work appointments (I am semi-retired and don't work every day).

Is there an easy way to get my work calendar events copied over to my iPad calendar so that I can see all my events even when I am not in a wifi hot spot? Or do I just have to copy each event from my work calendar into my iPad calendar one at a time?
