Calendar sidebar

Hello! I am having a problem since an iPad update. How can I remove the sidebar from my calendar (google calendar is the default)? I read the other threads but they don’t seem to work. Help!

If you‘re using the built in Calendar app, tap the icon at the top left to remove the sidebar.

Worked like a charm this time! Why this time and not before? Who knows. Something to do with the position of the moon?
