Can you daisy chain the Digital Video adapter with the Camera Connection Kit?

My first guess would be no, but what with the iPad 2 being jailbroken on iOS 5 I suddenly thought, you know what would be awesome? If I could hook my 2.5" external HDD up to my iPad (with a USB wall adapter to provide juice), connect that to a TV through HDMI and enjoy some nice movies.

Would that be possible? I mean, I don't expect it to be out of the box, but is there some clever hack out there to make this happen?
