if it works like iPhone, then no. however, keep in mind that it uses Mini-Sim card so if you have a full sized Sim Card, you will need to cut the chip to make it fit in the slot. if you do it wrong, you will damage your sim card and will need to pay full price to get it replaced since it was broken deliberately and it's physical damage, not usage.
