Can you search text in Overdrive on the iPad mini?

I have Overdrive and am going nuts trying to figure out how to search text. I've have always downloaded library ebooks onto my old Simple Touch Nook (where you can search text - a feature which I love) but I wanted to try reading them on my iPad mini instead. I just downloaded my first ebook to the mini, but if you can't search text I probably won't download anymore to the mini. Can anyone help?

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell (both by searching in my Overdrive app and by Googling), I'm pretty sure Overdrive does not have an in-book search function.

So, no, if that's what you need for your library books, then Overdrive isn't for you. May I suggest BlueFire reader? I know you can use it to read library books and it does have a search function. Plus, it's free (!).
