Cannot print screenshots

I have an Epson 730wd which serves fine as a printer but has issues with my ipad4,1. When attempting to print sceenshots I get the message "paper out, or jam, or wrong paper size". I know it's not the first two as Mail prints ok. Is paper size somehow involved, there are no settings as far as I can see and I simply want the screenshot on a piece of A4. Btw, photos taken with ipad bring up the same message.

How do I solve this?

Maybe it's the same as with my Canon. Whenever I print something from the Photo app, it automatically prints A 5 by default, and there's no way to change this, so I'd have to use paper with the right size. I can only print a different size when I use the Canon iEPP (the printer app).

I've just tried A5 and am getting the same message.

Do you know what format the screenshot is?
Or is there a workround, like sending it to another application from which A4 can be printed?

Why not try the dedicated Epson app ? You can access and print photos. Also HP and Canon have similar apps.

Just tried Epson print which has multiple paper sizes including A4 selected under the settings button. It really is good.
