Canon MOV videos

Hi, I am a new IPad 2 owner. Two issues that I am not sure if related. iPad won't play video clips from my Canon SX 230HS. It is set to NTSC mode. Clips are about 30-45 sec long. Iuploader app also doesn't see them. If I go straight from Facebook the upload video "choose file" is grayed-out. Any clues?

It might be worth trying OPlayer, which handles most any video format. If you look around the Forum you'll see that most Members recommend this app for playing a whole range of video formats.
