can’t add image to Photos album

I’m gathering images from Pixabay for a design I’m creating. I’m a member and can download freely.

After the image loads in Safari, I tap and hold, and that gives the “menu” Save or Copy choices. Save sends the image to the top level of Photos.

Suddenly, I can’t add images to the specific album because it’s grayed out. Other albums with even more items are not grayed out; IOW I could add to them, but not to the intended album.

Any thoughts on why? It is the same image type as the others I’ve added.

Edit: Now, suddenly, it works for the image it wouldn’t add to the specified album. Nothing else changed.

Restarting the iPad or the app can often fix small glitches. Even if you did neither of these, it’s possible the iPad removed the app from memory for other reasons, and had to reload it.

Basicly, stuff happens.

somehow, “stuff happens” is very reassuring.. stuff does happen, and maybe as an ipad user, one needs to relax their sense of what should happen.
