Can't delete synced photos from iPad

I have used an old backup from my iPad 2 on my iPad Air, a load of old photos were synced on it. I cannot find a way to delete them (even not by syncing to an empty folder in iTunes).
Any ideas? My iPad is jailbroken.

My iPad says the 5 Gb of photos is located in 'Camera Roll', but they are not. The albums are called 'Imported photos and videos' and 'All imported'.
I really want to get rid of these photos....

Ok... Somehow I did not try this, or tried it with the wrong album.
All photos are gone now, thanks!!
