Changing the SYNCing computer

Hi All,
I'm a new user at this forum and have an iPad 1. In bought it for avaition apps primarily but now use it for E-Mail, books, etc. I would like to know how to change the computer I normally sync with since I'm at work most of the time I have more time here to do updatyes and so on than at home. I wanted to update the operating system here but it says I will lose all my content if I sync with this computer instead of at home. Also how do I consolidate all my music from two diffderent I-Tunes accounts to one on a different computer and then get it on both my iPad and my iPhone? Thanks for all the help.
