Charging ipad in usa

Hi, can anyone tell me what to do. I bought my cable from UK but forgot the mains plug. Won't power via USB on my brothers computer. Can I buy plug for US only? Or if I buy desk connector will this power through USB, then I could take this back to uk.

You can just buy the US mains charger. Desk connector won't charge via USB as it's an issue with normal USB ports not providing enough power.

I think that what you need is either 20 or 30 bucks at bestbuy.
