Clear folders?

I am using the glasklart icons at the moment, and I wondered if it is possible to also get clear folders, rather than ones with a black background, to match? Any ideas?

Folder Enhancer does what I think you are asking. It opens the folder with no background (so you see full wallpaper) if required...I've configured mine with no background or title. See the 2 screenies of my home page and then the "Cydia" folder open...

Thanks, I have downloaded that. What I really meant though was I wanted the folder icons on my home screen to be clear rather than have a black background, so they match the other glasklart icons.

OK Does the glasklart folder theme component (enabled separately) not do that?

One cool iPad theme is BlueiPad V2. It is one of the most extensive themes I've found - and it does do clear folders on the homescreens (as in, I can see my background through the folder when it's not opened).

Not only are the folders transparent, but so are some of the main Apple icons (calendar, mail, app store), Cydia, the status bar, pop-ups and icon notifications. Very smooth looking...

Now, it's not glaskart ... and I don't believe (know?) if you can separate the transparent mods to add that part to your glaskart theme ... but it does have the clear folders. Plus, IMNSHO, it is a gorgeous theme! If I remember correctly, it was about $3 (USD) on Cydia. Regardless, YMMV.

On a side note, thanks, f4780y, for mentioning that FolderEnhancer allows you to have a clear folder when it's opened. Much nicer look!

Thanks everyone. Glasklart folders don't seem to do the job, and I have downloaded a couple of other tweaks from cydia which claim to give clear folders but I still don't have quite what i'm looking for.

I will have a look at the blue theme you mention, if I could mix and match it with glaskart icons it would be perfect.

OK, I think I see what you want. None of the current clear / transparent folder themes in Cydia seem to be coded for 4.3.x iPad folders. Sorry. I'll see if I can dig out something for you later on...

OK, I created a transparent folders theme for you. You can download it from my DropBox at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/304587/f4780yfolder.theme.zip

You need to unzip this file (it has a .theme folder inside), then transfer this folder via SSH to your iPad Themes folder. This can be found at

var/stash/Themes.xxxxx/ where xxxxx is a unique set of letters for your iPad.

Then just go into Winterboard and enable the theme (make sure it is above any other themes which change folders in the list). Presto - Transparent Folders!

It's not really a theme, I was just trying various bits out to solve the OP's problem and show transparent folders with a wallpaper where the effect could be properly seen.
My current favourite is BlueiPadV2 as the core with some other stuff applied around the edges.
This is my current setup...
