Cold weather and touch screen?

It has been really cold in my house like it got to 52 degrees last night!

I am noticing my touch screen is not responding like it should at times, could it be the cold? it is only a week old, and ideas?

I've heard the iPad can have trouble detecting cold fingers. Try some brisk hand rubbing and see if that helps.

In my car I have a touch screen radio unit and it does have a problem when I start it up from staying in the cold at night.
